Rajshahi-Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) included two more departments into its arsenal from the academic session of 2016-17, a press release said.The new departments are: Building engineering & Construction Management Department and Material Science & Engineering Department.
These departments will start its journey amid admission of 60 brilliant (30 students in each Department) students in the current 2016-17 academic year.
Relating to the opening of the two new departments, RUET vice chancellor Prof. Md. Rafiqul Islam Beg expected that the departments will play an effective role towards producing competent and efficient manpower in the field of construction and material industries of the country.
He also said the country is going towards digitization with the competent leadership of the present government. So, the new departments will supplement the government endeavors.
RUET will publish an admission circular for the examinee to take admission along with the new departments in the academic session of 2016-16 soon.
With these newly introduced departments total number of departments at RUET is 14, the press release also added.-RU Correspondent
