U-19 cricketers to fly for England Monday

Dhaka – Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team will fly for England on Monday to participate in a Tri-nation Youth ODI Tournament there from July 22 to August 11, involving hosts England U-19 and India U-19 teams.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday announced a 15-member final squad of Bangladesh U-19 Cricket Team for the England tour with Akbar Ali as captain and Towhid Hridoy as vice-captain.

Each team will play with each other four times on league basis matches and later top two teams will play in the final on August 11.

Prior to the tri-nation meet, touring Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against Young Lions Invitational XI on July 18 at ECB Performance Centre in Loughborough.

During the tri-nation tournament, Bangladesh Youth team will play England on July 22 at New Road, Worcester, face India on July 24 at the same venue, play India again on July 27 at Cheltenham College in Gloucestershire and face hosts England on July 28 at the same venue.

Bangladesh U-19 team will play again India on July 30 at Billericay CC in Essex, England on August 1 at the same venue, meet England again on August 5 at Beckenham in London and India on August 7 at the same venue.

Top two teams of the three-nation meet will play in the final on August 11 at Hove in Sussex.

Meanwhile, a photo session of the Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team will be held at the BCB National Cricket Academy, SBNCS on Sunday at 2 pm.
