Immigration police arrested a union parishad chairman in Debhata upazila from Bhomra immigration checkpost on Sunday afternoon.
The arrested was identified as Moynuddin Moyna, 47, chairman of Sakhipur union parishad and a leader of the local unit of Jamaat-e-Islami.Police said, they arrested Moyna from the checkpost area while he was going to India.Later, the arrested was handed over to Debhata Police Station. -UNB, Satkhira
