The government suspended the member of Doyamir union parishad in Osmani Nogor upazila under Sylhet district on Monday.Shorifa Ahmed of senior assistent secretary The local government division issued a letter suspending the member, Alkas Ali.Balagonj Upazila Nirbahi Officer said he received the letter of suspending the member, Alkas Ali. He has been suspended as per the Union Parishad Act, he said adding.Alkas Ali was elected as the member of 8 No. word in Doyamir union parishad under Osmani Nogor upazila in 2012.Meanwhile, golapgonj Police have arrested a person in possession of a firearm and two round of ammunition from Asirgonj bazar area of Sylhet district.The arrestee is Dulal Ahmed, 28, son of Oaris Ali of Bagla village in Golapgonj upazila.Golapgonj OC Fozlul Haque Shibli said: ‘Acting on a tip-off, a team conducted a drive around 5pm on Sunday and arrested Dulal in possession of a pistol.” Dulal was produced before the court and sent to jail on Monday morning, added the OC .A Correspondent:
