Varun Dhawan will be seen in the remake of his father’s directorial venture Coolie No. 1. It is established that David Dhawan will be helming the project this time as well. Playing Karisma Kapoor’s character in the film will be newcomer Sara Ali Khan, who is already a favourite amongst the masses.
The latest buzz is that actor Paresh Rawal will be stepping in to play the role of Sara’s father’s character, portrayed by the late Kader Khan, in the original.
Varun and Sara will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in the remake of Coolie No 1, which will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The film is set to release on May 1, 2020. Apparently, the makers of the Coolie No 1 remake are recreating two iconic songs from the film, which are Main toh raste se jaa raha tha and Husn hai suhana. Reportedly, the producers said that they would not remix these songs as the originals are still popular among the masses, reports ANI.
