Veteran Gonosangeet artiste Fakir Alamgir has sung two songs for International Mothers Day. Yesterday marked the International Mother Day 2019. On this day the new songs by him were released on the YouTube channel of KolerGaan Multimedia. The songs have been composed and recorded by Basudev Ghosh. They were recorded on May 9.
The first of the two songs is ‘Amar Maa Kemon Chhilo’ and the second one is ‘Ekti Tara Duiti Tara.’ The first one has been written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and the second one by Nishat Khan.
Fakir Alamgir in a post made on May 11 wrote down the first few lines of the song ‘Ekti Tara, Duiti Tara’. Then he pays tribute to all the mothers of the world. He has also uploaded two images of his mother- one being a still photograph and the other being a sketch. About the songs Fakir Alamgir said, “An excellent job has been done. Music of Basudev Ghosh has mesmerized me. I am hoping the listeners would like the songs as well.”
Basudev Ghosh referred to Fakir Alamgir as the singer of the masses while stating that previously a number of times he has had composed and arranged music for Fakir Alamgir. Fakir’s ‘marvelous’ singing always enchants him. He is confident that the listeners would like the songs.
