We are hearing neither the sonar bangla of Bangabandhu nor the digital Bangladesh of the Prime Minister by any of the ministers of the sitting government for sometime now. Rather we are hearing murders, abductions, enforced disappearances, rapes, crimes, some of those committed by law enforcing agencies, and corruptions resorted to by ministers.If we look at the headlines of the newspapers of the last few days- we would find that the crimes mentioned above have become a common phenomenon. When the agitation was intensifying against the withdrawing of river water from the region of Shylhet lead by Ilias Ali, he was abducted. Journalist Sagor and Runi were murdered. Mayor Lokman of Narshingdi was murdered. Twaki was murdered in Narayangong city. Seven including Nazrul Islam, panel mayor Narayangonj have been murdered. Upazila chairman Ekram of Phulgazi, Feni has been murdered very recently with many others. Every time ministers of the sitting government have said that all perpetrators will be punished whichever parties they belonged to. It is a fact that during the tenure of the sitting government verdicts in the cases of war crimes which were committed more than forty years ago have been given. But they did not facilitate any verdict on crimes committed during their tenure and it is alleged that the bigwigs of AL and donors of AL were involved in those.
Please only work for the people because Allah’s verdict for all wrong treatment to the people is inescapable.
