‘Wind of Change’ receives Mother Teresa Award

Kaushik Hossain Taposh and Farzana Munny have received the prestigious Mother Teresa International Award 2018, on behalf of TM Production for the, “Wind of Change-Music for Peace,” project.This year seven people were presented the award—including Taposh and Munny. They were presented the award yesterday afternoon at a grand event in Kolkata’s Satyajit Ray Auditorium— on the 108th anniversary of Mother Teresa’s birth.

This year’s Mother Teresa International Award Committee was made up of renowned educationist Rev Dr Samuel Raj, Chairman of the Committee Mr Anthony Arun Biswas, and the Honourable Minister for Consumer Affairs, and Self Help Group and Self-Employment in the Government of West Bengal, Sadhan Pandey.
Taposh informed his fans about this achievement over social media with the caption, “Such an honour to receive one of the most prestigious Mother Teresa International Award 2018.
“We both, along with each and every unit member of, ‘Wind of Change,’ kept on working unbelievably hard to make this project as best as possible, and we all did this from the core of our hearts, and with extreme passion, dedication and love. This award will not only inspire us, but will also make us more responsible. This award belongs to each and every member of ‘Wind of Change’ family, and also to everyone who loves our music.”
Taposh first entered the limelight in 2013 for composing the music in, “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini,” for which he received the Bangladesh National Film Award. He is serving as the managing director and CEO of the television channel Gaan Bangla. He is also at the helm of the episodic fusion music project, “Wind of Change,” which features an ensemble of Bangadesh’s top musicians from every season. Last season’s theme was, “Music for Peace,” which lead to their recognition.
