Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has urged opposition BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to withdraw Sunday’s hartal for the sake of country’s economy.A DCCI press release signed by its acting secretary Bashir Hayder revealed the matter on Friday.
Allude to BNP-led 18-party alliance called a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for Sunday.
BNP chairperson’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu made the disclosure at press conference at its Nayapaltan central office on Friday noon.
He said, “The alliance will observe the shutdown for protesting ban on holding rally, public meeting and demanding immediate release of all opposition leaders, restoration of Caretaker Government System and resignation of the government.”
