Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed in separate incidents of lightning strike in Sadar and Shibganj upazilas of Chapainawabganj on Monday.The deceased were identified as Fulera Begum, 35, wife of Ashraful of Sonardichar in Sadar upazila, their daughter Babita, 9, and Saidur Rahman, 25, son of Mofazzal Biswas of Radhakanta village in Shibganj upazila.
A thunderbolt struck Fulera and her daughter while working at their courtyard in the afternoon, killing them on the spot, said chairman of Narayanpur union parishad Alamgir Kabir.
Saidur was injured as lightning struck him also in the evening. He died on the way to hospital. – UNB
