Police in a drive arrested a woman drug peddler along with 200 pieces of Yaba tablet at Chanchra Raypara area of the upazila on Friday night.The arrestee was identified as Zobeda Khatun,38, wife of Zafor Sheikh of the area.Being tipped off, police conducted a raid on the house of Zobeda and arrested her along with 200 Yaba tablets.Jamal Uddin, sub-inspector at Chanchra police camp, confirmed the incident.
Zobeda had long been involved in drug peddling in the area, added the SI. A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act. -UNB, Benapole (Jessore)
