A female pilot burned to death and another suffered burn injuries when a training aircraft caught fire at Shah Makhdum Airport here on Wednesday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Tamanna Ferdous. She died instantenously as the engine of the aircraft caught fire, and the instructor received serious burn injuries.
Rumi, an engineer of Bangladesh Flying Academy, said the engine of the training aircraft caught fire at the airport while taking off around 2 pm, leaving Tamanna dead on the spot and instructor Syed Kamal injured with burns.
Syed Kamal was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. – News Desk
