The construction works of a new stadium in the district is nearing completion.The Youth and Sports Ministry is constructing the stadium under the supervision of Solaiman Hoque Joarder, local MP, at a total cost of Taka 16 crore 25 lakh on 12.26 acres of land at Joforpur village by the side of Chuadanga-Jhenaidah Highway.
The seating capacity of the stadium is 1,200. In the meantime 95 per cent works of the stadium has already been completed and rest of the work will be completed by this month.
Rafiqul Islam Laddu, general secretary, Chuadanga district sports association said it will be a modern stadium with all facilities. It
was the long demand of the people.
The State Minister for Youth and Sports Ministry Ahad Ali Sarker visited the construction works of the stadium on September 13 last
year.
