Police recovered two foreign pistols, four magazines and 17 rounds of bullets in Kasiadanga intersection on Rajshahi-Chapainawabgonj Highway under Rajpara Police Station in the city on Monday afternoon.ABM Rejaul Karim, Officer-in-Charge of Rajpara Police Station, said a man was taking the firearms and ammunition to Rajshahi from
Chapainawabgonj riding on a motorbike. But sensing the police presence at Kasiadanga checkpoint he fled away leaving behind the arms and ammunition. “Now, we are trying to catch the rider of the motorbike,” he added.
A case was recorded with the concerned police station and an investigation is underway.
