A workshop styled as “Concept and Technique of Modern Journalism” organised by the Rajshahi University Press Club (RU) was held at university on 9 October 2015.
RU student adviser Professor Sadequl Arefin Matin inaugurated the day-long program.Associate Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) department Shatil Siraj Shuvo, Abul Kalam Azad, Rajshahi Bureau of the Daily Prothom Alo, Ahsan Habib Apu of Independent Television, Rajshahi, Jiailul Gani Selim of SA TV, Golam Rabbani of Machranga TV, and Nirjhar Ahmed Plaban lecturer Bangla department Rajshahi Cadet College addressed the workshop as the resource persons.
The speakers laid stress on the consciousness, communication skills and curiosity of the attendees for continuous professional success in journalism.
RU Press Club President Sayfullah Saif delivered ending speech while general secretary Bulbul Ahmad Fahim moderated the function.
Around 50 participants from RU Press Club, RU Journalists Association and university Reporters Unity joined the workshop. – RU Correspondent
