Mymensingh – A workshop on ‘linkage between university and industry’ was held at Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mmensingh on Thursday.BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar addressed the workshop as chief guest while dean of Fisheries faculty Prof Dr Subash Chandra Chokrabarty, dean of veterinary faculty Prof Dr Mahbub Mostofa, dean of agriculture faculty Prof Md Abdul Quddus, Convener of dean council Prof Md Abdur Rashid were special guests with sub-project manager of Establishment of technology transfer Prof Dr Lutful Hassan in chair.
Inclusion of industry training for undergraduate students of all faculties is necessity to create up to date course curriculum for graduates. University and industry are both in a win-win process through public private partnership (PPP) using the research knowledge of the universities and financial help of industries, said Prof Dr Md Zahiruddin in his keynote speech.
Nowadays university is pace their research activities with the demand of industry and if universities research and technology commercialized with industries than it contributes for university development, said VC Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar. – BAU Correspondent
