Workshop on measuring water quality held at BAU

Mymensingh, Feb 07 – Digital logger is a device by which water temperature, pH (Acidic or Alkali condition) and dissolved oxygen can be measured. In developed countries use this device for measurement of the water condition and diseased condition of aquacultures. If the device accepts our fish farmers to measure water condition, they will be benefited- said Professor Dr M Mahfujul Haque of Aquaculture department in a workshop.
A project workshop titled ‘Novel Molecular Approaches for advancing Prediction and Mitigation of Disease Outbreaks in Aquacultures for small-scale farmers’ was held at Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on Thursday.
BAU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Ali Akbar was presented as chief guest while Fisheries Faculty Dean Professor Dr Gias Uddin Ahmed in chair.
Pro-VC Professor Dr Md Jasimuddin Khan, Ex-VC of BAU Professor Dr Md Anwarul Islam, Director of BAURES Professor Dr M A M Yahia Khandoker, Principal investigator of that project Professor Dr Charles R Tylor from UK, Professor Dr Kollanoor Riji Jhon form India and Country Director of World Fish Dr Malcolm W Dickson were presented as special guest. – BAU Correspondent
