A young man, suspected to be a thief, was killed in lynch-mob attack while fleeing with stolen goods from a house at Chhoto Koibarto Khali village under Rajapur upazila early this morning.The deceased was identified Monir Hossain, 32, son of late Abdul Aziz of the same area.Officer-in-charge of Rajapur thana AZM Masuduzzaman said Monir entered the house of one Fazlu Mullah in Chhoto Koibarto Khali village about 3 am for stealing.Sensing the presence of thief, the house inmates started screaming.Hearing screams of the inmates, the neighbours rushed into their house and caught Monir while fleeing with the booties.The mob gave Monir a severe beating, leaving him dead on the spot. -BSS, Jhalokhati
