A youth was sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment on
Monday by a mobile court in Safipur village under Bamna Sadar upazila
of the district for eve-teasing a schoolgirl.
The convict was identified as Akteruzzaman Rasel.
Officer-in-charge of Bamna thana Md Monirul Islam said police caught
Rasel red-handed while he was teasing the girl in front of a tea-stall
and handed him over to the mobile court.
Later, the mobile court led by Bamna Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md
Alamgir Hossain awarded him the punishment after examining the
