A youngman was killed in a road accident at Bijoynagar area on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj Highway under Godagari Upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Piarul Islam, 26, of Basnitala area under the same upazila.Quoting eyewitnesses police said the accident occurred when a Rajshahi-bound speeding passenger bus ran over Piarul while he was crossing the road around 9.30 pm. He died on the spot. Later, police in association with local people recovered the body and sent it hospital morgue for post mortem.A case was recorded with the police station in this connection. –BSS, Rajshahi
