A young man was injured in a firing by miscreants at Parbatinagar village in Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
The victim was identified as Sujon Das, son of Chittaranjan Chakravarti.
Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the gunmen shot Sujon in the legs near his residence in the area around 4:00am, leaving him severely injured.
He was rushed to Sadar hospital.
