Police recovered the hanging body a young man at Baksibari in Baliwadi village of Kaliakoir upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as, Masfir Baksi, son of Nazim Uddin, a resident of the area.
Police said they recovered Masfir’s body hanging from a tree near his home in the morning.
Sub-Inspector of Kaliakoir police station Shaidul Haq said it could not be ascertained yet whether it was a suicide incident or a pre-planed killing.
The family members of the victim alleged that Masfir was killed and then hanged.
The body was sent to Shaheed Taj Uddin Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
