Body of man accused in AL worker murder found in Sirajganj

Police recovered the body of a young man with bullet wounds from the west side of the Bangabandhu Bridge in Kamarkhad upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, 35, son of Delwar Hossain, a resident of Tentulia village in Sadar upazila. A local BNP leader Jahangir Alam was the No. 16th accused  accused in the killing of Sirajganj Awami League leader Saiful Alam.

Earlier on January 30 night Bablu, an accused in the said murder was killed in RAB ‘crossfire’. Son after on February 5 night the bullet hit body of the prime accused in the case, Jaban Ali, son of Azizul Hossain was found in thier village under Sadar Upazila, but none claimed responsibility for the killing.

On Saturday locals noticed Jahangir Alam’s body with bullet wounds in the head lying beneath an over-bridge on the Bangabandhu Bridge approach road (west side) at Jhawail village and informed police at about 9:30 am.Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
