Coast guard personnel and Ramgati upazila fisheries office in a joint drive seized 10 lakh shrimp fries from three markets of the upazila on Tuesday.Mohammad Zahidur Rahman, commander of Ramgati Coast Guard contingent, told the local journalists that around 10 lakh shrimp fries were seized from three bazars—Chairman Bazar, Azad Bazar and Selim Bazar—located near the Meghna River in cooperation with upazila fisheries officials and police.Owners of the shrimp fry fled the scene sensing the presence of the coast guard personnel and police, fisheries office sources said.Later, the seized shrimp fries were released in the Meghna River at Azad Bazar point in presence of the fisheries officials last evening. -BSS, Laxmipur
