DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed in the city to prevent subversive activities by Hefajat-e-Islami.The authorities deployed 10 platoons BGB men in city as Hefajat activists locked into clash with law enforcers in Purana Paltan and Baitul Mokarram areas.
Director General (BGB) Major Aziz Ahmed confirmed the matter and said some 20 platoon more would be deployed soon.
All the misdeeds and ill activities by Hefajat activists would be prevented strictly.
