10 Shibir-men hurt in Natore, 30 vehicles damaged in Sylhet

At least 10 local activists of Shibir were injured as police charged
them with batons in the district town during Wednesday’s hartal
enforced by Islami Chhatra Shibir.
Witnesses said a group of Shibir activists in support of the hartal
brought out a stick procession in Chakrampur area of the town in the
morning.
When the Shibir activists blocked the Natore-Dhaka Highway and began
holding a rally there after ending the procession, police
baton-charged them.
The Shibir activists dispersed and 10 of them received injuries.
Later, the unruly Shibir men vandalised several CNG-run auto-rickshaws
in Balaripara area of the town.
Shibir called the hartal demanding the release of its central
president and tracing of the missing leaders.
Shibir men vandalised 20 rickshaws and 10 CNG-run auto-rickshaws in
different areas of the city during Wednesday’s hartal called by Islami
Chharta Shibir.
Witnesses said separate groups of Shibir activists blocked the
Sylhet-Tamabeel road in the city’s Shibganj area and Sylhet-Sunamganj
road in Pathantula area around 6.00am.
They also staged demonstration in the area and left the places before
police came.
Another group of Shibir vandalised 20 rickshaws and 10 CNG-run
auto-rickshaws on different roads from Osmani Medical Colllege
Hospital emergency gate up to Madhu Shaheed at about 8.00am.
Shibir called the hartal demanding the release of its central
