A mobile court fined the owners of 11 brick kilns Tk18 lakh for different irregular and illegal activities, including firing wood instead of coal, in Moheshpur upazila on Monday.
The mobile court led by executive magistrate Saiful Islam realised Tk one lakh each from Aman Bricks, Bahar Bricks, Yousuf-2 Bricks, Jewel Bricks and Azab Bricks.Besides, Tk 2 lakh each was realised in fine from Alam Bricks, Yousuf-1 Bricks , Rubel Bricks and Asad Bricks and Tk 2.5 lakh each from Biswas Bricks and Raja Bricks.
The court also arrested Khalilur Rahman, manager of Jewel Bricks for failing to pay fined money.UNB, Jhenidah
