Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained nine Bangladeshi nationals, including two children, while going to India illegally through Sadipur border here on Tuesday.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-26 raided the area and detained them while crossing the border in the morning, said Subedar Ayub Ali Sarkar, commander of Benapole immigration check post BGB camp.
The detainees are Dinobandhu, 48, Manjura Mondal, 37, Bithi Mondal, 20, Nirmal Mondal, 58, Shampa Mondal, 13, Sathi Mondal, 6, Rupa Mondal, 15, Mintu Biswas, 30, and Jid Biswas, 7.They hail from different parts of Faridpur and Jhenidah districts.They were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.UNB, Benapole
