Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 15 people while they were going to India illegally through Putkhali border here on Saturday morning.Putkhali BGB-23 in-charge Shamsur Rahman said tipped off, a team of the border force launched a drive in the frontier area at about 8:00 am and arrested the 15, including six women and four children.However, those who were in a bid to traffic them out of the country fled the scene sensing the presence of the BGB members.The arrestees hail from different areas of Faridpur and Noakhali districts.They were going to India in search of jobs.Later, BGB troops handed over them to Benapole Port Police Station.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Benapole
