A local leader of Jubo League was shot and injured by miscreants at Bhalikia in sadar upazila on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Anwar Hossain, general secretary of Motobi union unit of the youth front of the ruling Awami League.Mahabub Morshed, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a group of miscreants opened fire on Anwar while he along with his two associates was returning home by a motorcycle around 9:30 pm, leaving him critically injured.Later he was rushed to sadar hospital.However, the reason behind the attack could not be known immediately. -UNB, Feni
