At least 15 shops were gutted as a fire broke out at Charfashion Bazar in Charfashion upazila on Tuesday night. Charfashion fire station officer Siraj Mridha said the fire erupted from a stove of ‘Nirala Hotel’ at Charfashion Bazar in the area at about 11:45 pm and it soon engulfed 14 other adjoining shops.Informed, two fire fighting units from Charfashion and Lalmohon fire stations rushed in and brought the fire under control after one hour of frantic efforts with the help of locals.Affected shop owners claimed that the loss caused by the fire could go up to two crore taka. -UNB, Bhola
