2 BCL activists injured by miscreants at SUST

Two activists of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology
(SUST) unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in an attack
by unknown miscreants near the vice-chancellor’s residence on the
campus on Sunday night.
The injured were identified as Imran Hossain Nayan, Masters’ student
of the Physics Department of the university, and Ibrahim Khalil Nahid,
final year Honuors student of the Statistics Department.
Campus sources said a group of 8 to 10 unknown miscreants intercepted
the motorcycle carrying Nayan and Nahid and attacked them, both of
whom are activists of the SUST unit Chhatra League, with lethal
weapons around 11.00pm in the area, when they were returning to their
residential hall.
The miscreants beat the duo mercilessly, leaving them critically
injured and torched their motorcycle.
Both the injured were rushed to Osmani Medical College Hospital by
locals, where Nayan was said to be in critical condition. -UNB, Sylhet
