2 bullet-hit found in Jhenidah, Bnp says its activists’

Jhenidah police recovered two youth’s bullet-hit bodies from a field at Defalbari village under Sadar upazila of the district Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Golam Azam alias Palas, 26, son of 8 number ward commissioner and BNP leader Golam Mostafa and Dulal Biswas, 25, son of Nasim Biswas of Char-Khajura village under sadar upazila of Jhenidah.
Circle assistant police superintendent Gopinath Kanzilal said, on information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the Jhenidah Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
They also said that Palas’s mother filed a General Diary (GD) with Jhenidah Sadar Thana.
Alal Biswas brother of victim Dulal said, on last 18 February night some plainclothes members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police picked his brother Chuadanga bus stand and Palas’s father claimed that on the same day law enforcers picked up Palas from Das Mile area under Jhenidah sadar upazila without any allegation against him. They also said, Dulal and Palas both talked with their families at the midnight on that day over mobile phone and sent the information that “They are in Jhenidah DB police office”. Later their mobile phone were switched off and remained so till now.
Abdul Malek, secretary of Jhenidah district BNP claimed, both of them were BNP activists. Jhenidah superintendent of police Md. Altaf Hossain said, “It is suspected they were killed by miscreants”. He also added, Dulal was Huji member from a long time and three cases against him in Jhenidah thana.
