RAJSHAHI, Feb 11, 2014 (BSS)- Police recovered two firearms in Rajshahi University campus last midnight, police said.
On a tip-off, a DB police team conducted a drive and recovered two pistols from beside the Nawab Abdul Latif Hall in
an abandoned condition, said Shamsur Nur, Officer-in-Charge of Motiher Police Station.
Meanwhile, the varsity had been declared closed for an indefinite period on February 2 last following a violent clash
between the agitating students and police.
Police detained two students\’ leaders, Delwar Hossain Deels and Sazib Ahmed, in collection with the clash and they are now
being interrogated in police remand.
OC Shamsur Nur said: “We are continuing hectic drives to nab the arms-attackers. We are very much hopeful about their arrest
as early as possible”.
