2 food industries fined Tk 17,000 in Rajshahi

Department of National Consumers Rights Protection fined two food
industries in Rajshahi metropolis Taka 17,000 on Tuesday.

A team of the Rajshahi divisional office of the department conducted
drives at BSCIC Industrial Estate in the city. The team found the
industries- Bishal Food Industries and Ratul Bakery-guilty of
manufacturing, possessing and selling food items in unhygienic and
substandard condition.

The operation team fined the industries a total of Taka 17,000 and
realized the fined money on the spot.

Deputy Director Sukummar Chandra Kundu led the drives conducted with
assistance from the representatives of BSTI, representative of
Consumers Association of Bangladesh, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police
(RMP) and other government agencies concerned.
