Dhaka – Detectives arrested two people along with 12 kg hemp at bordering Taluigachha village in Sadar upazila in Satkhira on Tuesday.The arrestees were identified as Md Shahidul Islam and Md Ali Hossain.Acting on a tip-off, a team of district Detective Branch (DB) of police, led by sub-inspector Shahriar, conducted a drive at the village in the early hours and arrested the duo from their respective houses, said DB Inspector Ali Ahmed Hashemi.During the drive, 12 kgs hemp smuggled from India were also seized from their possession.UNB
