Joint forces in a drive arrested two young men along with a home-made firearm at Kanungopara in Panchhari upazila on Saturday afternoon. The arrestees were identified as Ashin Chakma, 32, son of Rabichandra Chakma, a resident of College Para area of Dighinala upazila, and Susomoy Chakma, 30, son of Suvankar Chakma of Nunchhari area in the same upazila.Tipped off, a joint force team of police and Bangladesh army conducted a raid in the area around 4pm and arrested the duo along with a local firearm and a few rounds of bullet, said Main Uddin, officer-in-charge of Panchhari Police Station.
