Dhaka – Forest officials arrested two people along with a timber-laden trawler from the Dudhmukhi canal in the Sundarbans under Sharnkhola upazila early Tuesday.The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 34, and Sohel Hossain, 36, hailing from Bhola district.Tipped off, a team of the Department of Forest conducted a drive in the estuary of the canal and arrested the two people along with a trawler loaded with timber, including Sundari, in the dead of night, said Mahmudul Hasan, divisional forest officer of the Sundarbans East zone.A case was filed with Sharankhola Police Station in this connection.UNB
