Dhaka – A madrasa student was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Vatkathi village in Rajapur upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Md Shukkur Hawladar, 20, son of Md Dulal Hawladar of South Angira in the upazila.
The victim was an Alim examinee and used to carry passengers on his motorcycle for earning livelihood.Miscreants stabbed Shukkur indiscriminately while he was returning home around 8:3pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said Shamsul Arefin, officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jhalokati Sadar Hospital for autopsy.Following the incident, police arrested a youth for questioning on Tuesday morning.A case was filed with the police station in this connection.UNB
