Two people were killed and four others injured in an accident on the Bogra-Rangpur Highway at Naudapara in sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday.The deceased were identified as Ranu Miah, 25, son of Mustafizur Rahman, and Asadul Islam, 40, son of Shakariar Khuju Pramanik, resident of the upazila.
Police said a Bogra-bound truck from Rangpur collided head-on with a Mohastan-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the road at Noadapara at about 12:30pm, leaving Asadul, driver of the auto-rickshaw, dead on the spot and its five passengers injured.
The injured were rushed to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where Ranu died.
