Two people were killed when a bus slammed into a motorcycle on the Joypurhat-Hili road at Nauda in Panchbibi upazila on Sunday.The deceased were identified as Sohel Rana, 32, an employee of a motorcycle company and son of Hanif Uddin of Kacharipara village in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia district, and Shafayet Hossain Bakul, a class-IX student and son of Abu Bakkar of Haldia village in Saghata upazila of Gaibandha district.Police said the accident took place in the area at about 2.00pm when a Joypurhat-bound ‘Bashundhara Paribahan’ bus from Hili knocked down a motorcycle, leaving rider Sohel Rana dead on the spot and his brother-in-law Bakul injured.Later Bakul died on way to Joypurhat Hospital.They were going to Hili land port for employment related reasons. -UNB, Joypurhat
