Dhaka – Two people were killed and three others injured as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch at Nehalpur in Tala upazila of Satkhira early Wednesday.The deceased were identified as Rawshan Ali, 25, a resident of Maheshkhali village in Aminpur upazila of Pabna district, and Azizur Rahman, 30, a resident of Patia upazila in Chittagong district.
Hasan Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tala Police Station, said the accident took place around 5.00am when the Tala-bound truck coming from Jessore skidded off the road and fell into the roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the duo dead on The spot and three others injured.
The injured were rushed to a local clinic.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue. – UNB
