Two persons, including a truck driver’s helper, were killed in
separate incidents in the city’s Madarbari and Karnaphuli areas on
Friday.The deceased were identified as Nayon Chowdhury, 25, hailed from
Charlakkya Boat Bazar area under city’s Karnaphuli thana and Mohammad Sohag, 25, hailed from Jaudanga upazila under Satkhira district.Nayon was critically injured as he was electrocuted while repairing an electric cable at his residence around 1pm.Meanwhile, truck helper Sohag was critically injured after his truck ran over him while he was removing a stone kept under the back wheels of the truck at Madarbari Truck Terminal around 1pm.Both the victims were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared them dead, CMCH police outpost sources said. -BSS
