Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Vikni crossing in Akkelpur Upazila this evening.
The deceased were identified as Ferdous Alam, 32, son of Khalilur Rahman of Bilsnah Village of Sadar Upazila and Abu Hanif, 34, son of Habibar Rahman of Fatehpur village in Dhamarhat upazila of Naogaon district.Police said Ferdous and Hanif were returning district headquarters from Akkelpur upazila riding motorcycle. The accident occurred while they tried to overtake a rickshaw-van.The motorcyclists died on the spot.On information, police recovered the bodies and sent it to district hospital for autopsy.A case was filed with Akkelpur Police station. –BSS, Joypurhat
