Faridpur, May 9 (UNB) – Two alleged robbers were killed in a gunfight between two groups of robbers in Alalpur area on bypass road of the district town early Tuesday over establishing supremacy.
Subash Chandra Saha, superintendent of police in Faridpur, said on information about the gunfight between two robber gangs, a team of police reached in the area early in the morning.
Later, they rescued two robbers Pavel, 28 and Sabuj, 20, who sustained gunshots, from the spot.
The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where on-duty physician declared them dead on arrival.
Police also recovered a pistol searching their bodies, added the SP.
