Dhaka, Jan 23 – Miscreants set afire two trucks in Betchhari area of Nannerchar upazila of Rangamati on Saturday morning.Md Shahidullah, additional superintendent of Rangamati police, said that a gang of miscreants demanded extortion money to a Malchhari bound goods-laden truck from Chittagong in the area around 5.30 am.
As they were denied the money, the gang torched the truck along with another one.
Protesting the incident, the transport workers of the district has suspended plying of all types of vehicle. – UNB
