At least 20 shops were gutted by a fire at Torabganj Bazar in Kamalnagar upazila of the district early Monday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electrical short-circuit at a shop in the Bazar about 2 am and soon engulfed the adjacent shops.Being informed, two fire fighting units of Luxmipur and Ramgoti fire station rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze with the help of locals and shop owners after two-hour of frantic efforts.Ten people were injured in the fire. –BSS, Luxmipur
