Dhaka – Police in a drive arrested 21 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir along with 30 crude bombs and gun powder from Chamagram in sadar upazila in Chapainawabganj on Monday night.Acting on secrete information that a group of Jamaat-Shibir activists were planning to carry out subversive activities, a team of police launched a drive at Chamagram around 11:30pm and arrested 21 activists of Jamaat-Shibir, said Officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station Mazharul Islam.Police also recovered 30 crude bombs and half kilograms of gunpowder
from the spot.Sensing the presence of the police, other members of the group managed to flee scene, the OC added.-UNB
