At least 25 houses were gutted as a fire broke out in Khitapchor area of Sharoatoli union parishad of Bowalkhali upazila early Sunday.Sharowatoli UP chairman Nur Mohammad said the fire broke out at the house of Borhan Unddin Gazi of Khitapchor area around 3am and engulfed the adjoining houses.At least 25 houses were gutted and at least 4 people injured in the fire, he added.Local people and a fire-fighting unit from Potia doused the blame after four hours of frantic efforts.
The losses of the fire was estimated at Tk 1.25 crore. UNB, Chittagong
