Jhenaidah: 28 Jamaat Islami Bangladesh, Moheshpur upazila unit activists were sent to jail on Wednesday after noon when they went to the court in a case filed on the charge of torching vote centers during last general election, vandalising freedom fight monuments and hampering police duty.
Sources said, Solaiman, Razzak and Dukhu of Jalilpur village, Mozammel Haque and Sher Ali from Boga village, Khalilur Rahman and Vutto from Bathangachi village, Aktar Hossain, Alamgir Hossain, Abdul Goni and Moshiur Rahman from Shamnata village, Monirul Islam, Zilhazz, Polash, Khoka and Zalal Uddin from Moheshpur town, Masud and Golam Mostafa from Patibila village, Hafizur Rahman from Mirzapur village, Rafiqul Islam from Jogihuda village, Rana from Nowda gram, Abu Bakar and Hasanuzzaman from Bagdirait village, Jahir Uddin from Shangkarhuda village, Saiful Islam from Chandratanpur village, Rabiul Islam and Zakir Hossain of Begumpur village under the upazila when went to senior judicial magistrate court of Parvez Mosharaf for praying release but the court sent all of them to the jail.Sources said on last 5 January national election date at least 19 primary schools were vandalized and torched by the activists of Jamaat-BNP for avoiding vote.
